Georgia's New Pickup Truck Safety Belt Law
BUCKLE-UP IN YOUR TRUCK. IT'S THE LAW!
Starting June 2010, the exemption for seat belt use for drivers and riders in pickup trucks is over. Georgia's new law states that if you are in a pickup truck YOU MUST buckle up your seat belt. Each occupant of the front seat shall be restrained by a seat belt while the vehicle is operated on a public road, street, or highway of this state. Law enforcement around Georgia will be watching. Just like in cars, if you don't click it, expect a ticket.
